Endless bibliography on this subject, the Catalogues of all main European and American museums are involved. This is still the fundamental textbook for the study of the sculptures of Villa Adriana, thorough, precise, accurate. Previous bibliography is ample and complete. For the most ancient finds, every catalogue entry quotes Ligorio's description in detail. Unfortunately the quality of the (small) illustrations is very poor, and the pictures just a limited number.
