«Archeoastronomia ad Aventicum, capitale dell'antica Helvetia romana»
in Atti del XIX Convegno SIA, Genova 2018, Padova 2021, pp. 249-265.
Aventicum was the captal of the Roman Helvetia, where we discovered a double astronomical orientation.
The sacred complex formed by the Cigognier Temple and the Theater, was oriented towards the dawn of the Winter Solstice and the sunset of the Summer Solstice.
The east and west gates of the city were instead oriented towards the dawn of the Summer Solstice and the sunset of the Winter Solstice.
On-site surveys and symbolic interpretation.
