2a - Building techniques
A general or partial diachronic plan of the various construction phases has never been drawn up.
The studies of Lugli [1927 and 1932] and the catalogue entries by Marina De Franceschini [1991] remain unique.
There is no overall study of the different building techniques, which date from the Republican age (1st century B.C.) to the late Empire, and a plan with their distribution.
Gaps that will be filled by the aforementioned new general plan of the University of La Sapienza which is currently being published.
2b - Brick stamps
The brick stamps preserved in work date the construction and restoration phases of the walls of the Villa and serve as a terminus post quem (date after which) for their construction.
The only complete study on brick stamps is still that of Bloch [1937], which should be updated with the data of subsequent excavations found in recent article.
