In this article Marina De Franceschini publishes two mosaic table-tops that she rediscovered few years ago. Today they are in a private Roman collection but once belonged to Prince Gabrielli. Their mosaic table-top comes from the Accademia of Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli (Rome), where Gabrielli excavated in the early decades of the eighteenth century together with the antiquarian Orlandi, as reported by Piranesi.
The other two unpublished and unknown tables, whose top is made of "Pietra di Paragone" (Touchstone) were discovered by her in the home of Emanuele and Rita Lolli in Lusignano at Tivoli, thanks to an ancient manuscript, an unpublished family Memory. They too come from Villa Adriana.
